Disney Dining Reservation System Major Update!

The Disney Dining reservation system has received a major update. You can now search restaurants for up to 10 consecutive days for available dining at your desired restaurant.  This is huge!  (Especially for those who are annual pass holders and/or traveling with large groups like I do with my family of eight.)

Break down of how the Disney Dining reservation system update works:

From the Disney World page, select “Make Reservations” under the “Things to Do” tab.

You are first prompted to select the number of people in your party, and the date you are interested in.  Next, select  what time of day you are interested in dining.   At this point you’ll be able to see available times and locations for dining.

Let’s say you really want to eat at Tiffins, in Animal Kingdom. However, there is only one time available on the day you searched, and it conflicts with other plans you have as shown below.

You can now search for a range of up to 10 days for other dining times. Do this by clicking on the “Check Availabilty for Multiple Days” option. (Circled in red).

That will pull up a blank calendar. Select the first date you want to check. Be sure to check an end date. You will be able to see the dates you want to check are selected with the dark blue.

This major update to the Disney Dining reservation system will now show you possible reservation times which fit your criteria.

Select your day and time.

Add any celebrations, dietary and/or accessibility requests.

Make sure your contact information is correct

Then enter your credit card for your guarantee and you’re all set!

You can also filter dining by the following categories:

  • Reservations Accepted
  • Table Service
  • Quick Service
  • Character Dining
  • Fine/Signature Dining
  • Area of Walt Disney World you want to eat in.

How this works for Character Meal Searches:

If you’ve read many of my posts, or talked to me about Disney dining options, you know I am a HUGE fan of character meals.  It’s been the perfect way for me to allow for my family with special needs meet the characters they love.

If I knew I wanted to eat at Akershus, I would check the availability and see my best option for dining there near spring break is to go on Sunday April 7.

Gone are the days of inputting your requirements over and over each time you want to check other days for availability.

Never has finding a Disney dining reservation been easier!
